Il a été produit principalement par Marley Marl et enregistré dans son home studio « House of Hits » à Chestnut Ridge et à la Chung King House of Metal à New York. Après l’accueil décevant de l’album « Walking with a Panther » en 1989, LL Cool J renoue avec le succès avec cet album.
